Union Street Project Unveiled!

I’m so happy to finally share photos of the finished interiors of the Union Street Nantucket project.  After months of designing and planning and selecting and packing (and hand-wringing), we installed the furniture into two beautifully renovated condominiums in the historic district of Nantucket.

For the unit shown here, I selected a combination of indigos and reds for the living room to float against the soft grey palette of the wall, trim and floor colors.

The mirrors and glass had a glimmering, jewel-box effect while the seagrass rugs and warm walnut furniture added texture and warmth. Screen Shot 2013-07-26 at 1.34.22 PMScreen Shot 2013-07-26 at 1.34.15 PM

With the temperature soaring to nearly 100 degrees, we moved furniture into the space while the carpenters, plumbers and painters were hurrying to finish their work.  We had less than a few days to complete the project before the Open House in which the condos were placed on the market for sale.   But we were so pleased that they were scooped up by buyers within just a couple of weeks after the first showing.   A fun project and a great creative stretch for the Studio!
