If you haven’t seen the incredibly beautiful porcelain and stoneware by dbO Home, let me be the first to introduce you to these most wonderful works of art.
Delicate, thin slabs of naturally colored clay, impressed with the ridges and folds of leaves, honeycomb, birch bark and flowers … giving off an almost ephemeral, light effect.
I first saw dbO Home’s work in the Handmade section of the New York International Gift Fair while taking a break from the Wooster & Prince tradeshow booth. I fell in love with the simplicity of the concept, the natural colors and materials.
A few weeks later, while browsing through the first floor at ABC Carpet & Home in Manhattan, I was thrilled to see their lovely line of porcelain and stoneware front and center … and I immediately began my wish list for Christmas.
Santa (in the form of my husband) was good to me and under the tree this year was a collection of beautiful dbO Home plates! I’ve since added a few more to hang an entire grouping on my dining room wall.
Now, I see their amazing sensibility has expanded into all manner of lovely home decor items. You can see their entire line at dbO Home.
