Nothing beats a chilly Mint Julep on a hot summer day … any good Southerner will tell you that. And while they may take a few more steps to make than just popping the cork on a white wine, it’s well worth effort that goes into the little ceremony of making one.
Aside from the silver Mint Julep cups that are the traditional vessel for serving and keeping them cold, you’ll also need a proper muddler to crush the mint leaves which will give it it’s distinctive flavor.
Some powdered sugar, crushed ice, club soda and your favorite bourbon … and you’ll be sipping this favorite drink of the summer in no time.
